Daisy Duck - Cricut Kit

Happy Mothers Day

I hope everyone has a great Mothers Day! I know I am going to have a good day just scrapbooking some and spending time with my family. I wanted to share some pictures of what I have been doing the last couple of weeks not much time for actual scrapbooking but I have made some great pictures & memories to scrapbook later. My son Brandon and his girlfriend Kaleigh went to his JR Prom. They were such a cute couple.

The prom was Las Vegas nights. They were looking really good and ready to go. They had such a great time at the prom. Love them bunches.

We had fun making pictures (Brandon was getting tired of having his picture made) but I needed one of all my cute kids together. They are just so cute and I love them so much!!

Matthew and Tabatha are expecting my first grandbaby in October and I am so excited. We are looking forward to having a little one around. It has been awhile (Brandon is 17 that is hard to believe time has went by so fast).

Also Tabatha has just graduated she is now a RN. We are so proud of her. We went to her pinning ceremony on Friday. This was a special time for her and her parents. We were so proud to be a part of this special day for her. Mike and I love her so much!! We are very proud!!

I hope everyone has a great day. Now I am going to go relax for awhile and enjoy the day.

Cinderella Cricut Class

Bo-Bunny Gabrielle

I made this 6x6 mini album to be a Mothers Day album. I used the Gabrielle line of paper from Bo-Bunny. The paper is perfect for this kind of album with all the pastel colors & butterflies. I also used paper roses from Prima. I inked all the edges with distress inks. With all the matching papers, stickers, & die cuts the book was really easy to put together. I think I will get some older pictures of my mother and grandmothers to put in this album and let this be for all the great women I have or had in my life.

This was a fun and easy book to make. Now I just have to get the pictures added.

Cricut Class - Love that Duck

I am getting ready for my second class at my local scrapbook store " Scrappers Delights" in Dalton Georgia. This class we are going to continue with the Disney theme. This class is Donald Duck.
It is a bright & fun layout. I am looking forward to this class. (Maybe I will not be as nervous this time)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #50 - "Tree Time"

Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #20 Time to Spring Forward

I have used a timepiece on one of the pages of my mini album so I decided this would be perferct for the Challenge this week on Cooking with Cricut. I have just finished this project up and I am going to give this to Matthew and Tabatha since they have just finished buiding their home and getting moved in. I cut the house out on my cricut with the home on the Sweethearts cartridge this was cut at 11".

The paper I used for the entire album was from Basic Grey the Mellow collection. I also used lots of Tim Holtz products (love those).

Pages 1-2 The flower is from Prima flower and all the diecuts are from Basic Grey mellow.

The tape measure ribbon & memo pin are Tim Holtz.

Sorry for the pictures being mixed up - I took them all the same way but when I have downloaded them they are turned at different angles and I did not know how to correct.

This book was fun to make and I really liked using all the different items in it. I did alot of inking with distress inks and sanded alot on this book.

Pink Paislee Layout

I made this layout for our local scrapbook store Scrappers Delights Boutique in Dalton Georgia. It was a different layout for me using all this very soft colors & girly embellishments but it was a fun project to work on. I loved using the bling & flowers - This is from Pink Paislee the Parisian Anthology line you need to check this out. I also used some of the glimmer mist chalk and it worked really well. The blue flowers were just plain flowers that I have had for awhile and I embossed these with the blue glitter - This worked out really well. I will have to use this again in the future it really changed the look of the layout.

This layout could be used for a wedding or prom. My son is going to his JR SR prom coming up in April. I think this will be perfect for that. (I guess his date should wear turquoise lol).

Well it is a start to a busy Saturday - Going to Brandons first golf match of the season.

Cricut Class - Mickey and Minnie

I have been working today on my project for my first class that I will be giving at my local Scrapbook store "Scrappers Delights" in Dalton Georgia on March 15th. It will be a layout using the Cricut and the Mickey and Friends cartridge. I am really excited about this and I think it will be alot of fun!

Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #15 Shadow

I have another layout that I have made for Matthews album. I am working on some of the pictures I have of Matthew and Tabatha from last year after they were engaged. I used the Accents Essential cartridge on this layout for the frame and journaling.

They are such a cute couple. I love them both so much. It is fun to get these pages together.

Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #14 - Birthdays

I finally got my scrapbook layout made for this challenge. I love the new cricut cartridge that my mom got me for Christmas "Birthday Bash" it has lots of cool cuts. This will be a cartridge I know I will use alot.
I used one of my Peachy Keen face stamps on the cake. Peachy Keen stamps are really cute. I need to get me some more of the new ones they have come out with. They are great to use with your cricut cuts.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge "Sweethearts"

My son got married last year and I thought I would use this challenge to start scrapbooking some of pictures I have of Matthew and Tabatha. The Sweetheart cartridge has alot of great things on the cartridge it was hard to choose one to start with so I thought I would start with scrapbooking their engagement pictures. I made this layout for the Cooking with Cricut Challenge #13 - 3 Flowers. They did have a sketch you could use and I did decide to use this for my pages. This was a fun challenge and I decided to make a Valentines page for this.

I used the Walk in my Garden cartridge for my flowers and the Create a Critter for the ladybug & heart.

I just wanted to share a mini book I made last week - I am going to add pictures of my sons in this book. This was made with My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue. This paper & embellishments were so cute. The book was really easy to make. I will definitely be making more mini albums in the future.

TerrificTuesday Challenge "Birthday Bash"

It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog. I wanted to get started back on doing what I love and that is scrapbooking. I decided to start out with the Scrappy Moms - Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This first one was using the new cricut cartridge "Birthday Bash". My terrific mom got me this for Christmas so I was excited to use this. I have to say this cartridge is great and easy to use. I can see this being one I use alot in the future. We just celebrated my Dads 70th Birthday so what a better way to get started using this.

New Taylor Expression Stamps!

I did make a birthday card this week for one of the ladies I work with. I got to use my new cupcake stamps from Taylor Expressions. These stamps are so cute. I also decorated the inside of the card.

I used my nestibilities to cut the ovals.

Sorry to have been away so long. It has been a busy couple of weeks. I had my 40th birthday back on the 16th and my family & friends made it such a great day. The girls at work decorated my office in black and made me a great chocolate cake. When I got home from work that afternoon my dad had made a great big sign to put in the yard. Happy 40th Birthday. I was so suprised. My kids had decorated with all this over the hill stuff and also had found a walker for me to use. It was funny, they had a great time. My mom cooked all my favorites for dinner and we ate to much. It was a great birthday!!!

This week I decided since the challenge was lace that I would use these paper doilies that I found at the craft store. I also found some lace with hearts on it and thought it would fit the stamp & phrase perfectly.

The paper is Basic Grey.

I Colored the stamp with my prismas & gamsol.

This is a card I made using my Cricut and the Paper Dolls cartridge. I made this last September for our 22nd wedding anniversary.

It was fun to cut and put these little people together with there wedding outfits.

This is the first card I made using the Gamsol and Prisma pencil technique. They were fun to use the colors blended so well.

I used a Blueberry Muffin stamp I had ordered off of e-bay. I actually got the whole set of Strawberry Shortcake stamps and I could not wait to use them.
